Horrific news out of the OC tonight. At least three people have been killed when their private plane crashed in the water at the Newport Beach "Back Bay."
Here are some of the details that are coming in from different news agencies and law enforcement groups.
- At 5:45 p.m. Sunday night, a single-engine Beech craft Musketeer crashed off the Newport Beach "Back Bay" area.
- The plane crash was located at Back Bay Drive, north of San Joaquin Hills Road.
- The plane was apparently on the way from Mexico to the nearby Torrance Municipal Airport when something went terribly wrong.
- The plane ended upside down water shallow water of the Back Bay.
