Law enforcement is looking for two young Long Beach girls that went missing on Friday morning from a Long Beach motel on East Pacific Coast Highway.
According to Long Beach Police Department officials, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Long Beach Police were dispatched to a motel at the 800 block of PCH after two girls identified as Demoy Cherie Goodwin, age 9 and Sharron Cherie Bess, age 13 went missing. Their mother, who recently relocated from Northern California, reported to the officers that sometime on Wednesday night a female Black offered to help her care for her two daughters.
According to a statement to the media, the female was unknown to the mother; however, a male Black who the mother knows to reside at the motel, vouched for the female and told the mother to let this woman take the kids. The woman left the motel with the children and the children have not been seen since.
