COMPTON – The 14-year-old son of an ICE agent was charged today with the agent’s murder on Wednesday at the family’s Carson home, the District Attorney’s Office announced.
The juvenile, (dob 8/21/1997), is due in Compton Juvenile Court, Department 260, on Monday for arraignment, said Deputy District Attorney Todd Hicks, deputy in charge of Compton Juvenile office.
The juvenile is in custody.
He is charged in case TJ20021 with one count of murder with an allegation that he personally used a firearm to fatally shoot his father, Myron W. Chisem, 42, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agent.
Hicks said the 14-year-old is suspected of using his father’s service weapon to fire a single round through a window from outside the house. The bullet struck Chisem, a native of Torrance and a U.S. Navy veteran, in the head.
Prosecutors will seek to have the juvenile tried as an adult.
